The environment refers to the air, water and land in which people, animals, and plants live. So, human beings animals, plants, air, water and soil are the main elements of the environment. These elements should be sound for our sound living. But when these elements are polluted and their essential balance is disrupted, this phenomenon is known as environmental pollution. Nowadays, almost everywhere, our environment is seriously polluted. In many places in our country, the environment has become extremely polluted. We ourselves are responsible for this severe pollution. Clean air is essential for human life, but polluted air is harmful to us. Industries and factories emit huge amounts of smoke, gases, and fume. Motor vehicles also emit a large amount of smoke and gases. All these pollute the air seriously. Water is another important element of our environment. It is essential for life. Like air, water is also polluted in many ways. It is polluted from the dumping of industrial wastes and by chemical fertilizers and insecticides. Due to the indiscriminate use of vehicle horns, loudspeakers, mikes, etc. sound is polluted. Soil is polluted by harmful chemical fertilizers, pesticides, and insecticides. Trees play an important role in the environment. Trees absorb carbon dioxide and exhale oxygen. Thus, they save the environment. Environmental pollution is a great threat to our existence. It causes changes to the world’s climate and brings about different kinds of natural disasters. The world is becoming unsuitable for living. To make life healthy and comfortable, we should keep the environment clean and danger-free.

Environment Pollution Paragraph For SSC / HSC Students
All our surroundings including air, water, soil, trees, and animals make up our environment. When the normal relations among these elements of nature are disturbed, the ecological balance is hampered and it is called environmental pollution. The smoke from factories and motor vehicles contains harmful substances like çarbon-monoxide and sulfur-di-oxide. These hamper the cleanliness of the air. Mills and factories set up by river banks let out chemical wastes in the river water. These poisonous substances are destròying the plants and creatures of the water bodies. Pesticides and chemical fertilizers used in agriculture are also polluting water, when people drink this water or take a bath in the polluted water, they are attacked with stomach diseases. Environmental pollution may be controlled by taking different measures. We may increase afforestation. If trees are planted in large numbers, we can be benefited in different ways. Trees also increase rainfall and prevent air pollution. Laws should be enacted and implemented to prevent factories from dumping wastes. Moreover, every conscious individual and institution should come forward to solve this problem for the sake of our experience.
