Once an old lady lost her eyesight and became blind. She called a doctor and agreed to pay him a very big amount if he cured her. But she will not give a single penny if she is not cured. So, the doctor started coming regularly to her house for treatment. He started stealing lady’s furniture and other valuable things from the house. He took away everyday one thing from the lady’s house. So he delayed curing the lady. He.cured the lady after he had removed all the furniture and valuable articles from the lady’s house. Now doctor demanded his fee from the lady. But she refused to pay the fees and said that she is not fully cured. The doctor registered a case against her in court. On being asked by the judge why she was not paying the fee, she told the court that her eyesight is not fully restored. She could not see her furniture and other articles in the house. The judge was very clever. He understood the matter and punished the doctor.

অনুবাদ: একদিন এক বৃদ্ধ মহিলা তার দৃষ্টি শক্তি হারিয়ে ফেললেন এবং অন্ধ হয়ে গেলেন। তিনি একজন চিকিৎসককে ডাকলেন এবং তাকে সুস্থ করার   জন্য চিকিৎসককে বিশাল অংকের টাকা দিতে রাজি হলেন। কিন্তু তিনি যদি সুস্থ না হন তবে তিনি তাকে এক পয়সাও দিবেন না। তাই চিকিৎসক   প্রতিদিনই চিকিৎসার জন্য তার বাড়িতে আসতে শুরু করলেন। তিনি মহিলার বাড়ি থেকে আসবাবপত্র ও মূল্যবান জিনিসপত্র চুরি করতে শুরু করলেন। তিনি  প্রতিদিনই মহিলার বাড়ি থেকে একটি করে জিনিস নিয়ে যেতেন। তাই তিনি মহিলাকে সুস্থ করতে বিলম্ব করছিলেন। মহিলার বাড়ি থেকে সব আসবাবপত্র  এবং মূল্যবান জিনিস সরিয়ে ফেলার পরই তিনি মহিলাটিকে সুস্থ করলেন। তখন চিকিৎসক মহিলার কাছ থেকে ফি দাবি করলেন। কিন্তু তিনি ফি দিতে  অস্বীকার করলেন এবং বললেন তিনি পুরােপুরি সুস্থ হন নি। ডাক্তার তার নামে আদালতে একটি মামলা করলেন। বিচারক যখন তাকে জিজ্ঞাসা করলেন যে  তিনি কেন ফি দিতে রাজি হচ্ছেন না, তিনি আদালতকে বললেন তার দৃষ্টিশক্তিপুরোপুরি ফিরে আসেনি। তিনি ঘরের আসবাবপত্র ও অন্যান্য জিনিস দেখতে পাচ্ছেন না। বিচারক ভীষণ চালাক ছিলেন। তিনি বিষয়টি বুঝতে পারলেন এবং চিকিৎসকে শাস্তি দিলেন।
