My love and compliments to you. Hope that you’re fine by the grace of Allah. In your last letter, you’ve expressed your curiosity to know about the fair that is held in our village every year. Let me tell it in brief.
The fair held in our village every year is very famous. People from distant places come to this fair. The recent fair was held on the occasion of Pahela Baishakh. Many shopkeepers, artists and artisans set up their stalls with goods such as toys, sweetmeats, clothes, cosmetics, jute and cotton handicrafts, tapestries, bamboo-made goods and many attractive items. This time, the same as always, some goods were only for display and some were for sale. Merry-go-round, doll-dance, magic show, circus and Jatra are the special attractions of the village fair. Circus parties and magic shows are also the main attractions of our village fair: Circus parties often bring small tigers, elephants, monkeys, horses, and bears. And these trained animals show, funny feats. Every year we enjoy the fair very much.
