The computer is a wonderful scientific invention. It is a modern electronic device that accepts the message given by the operator and processes this message and stores it at the storage devices and later gives an output of the message through the output devices. Though it works according to the command of an operator, it performs everything skillfully and accurately. In accordance with the act and activities, computers can be divided into three classes. They are analogue, digital, and hybrid computers. According to form and formation, computers can be classified into four classes. They are Super Computer, Mainframe computer, Mini-computer, and Microcomputer. A microcomputer is also called a PC (Personal Computer). A computer has some specific parts. These are the input device, CPU (central processing unit), and output device. To utilize a computer highly, an internet connection is a must. If a computer is connected to the internet, it will become easy to connect with the whole world. We can communicate with others, send and receive emails, arrange video conferences, use different social media, and so on. Nowadays, one can get admitted to a foreign university and achieve a higher degree through the internet. It is easy to collect any book in any language through the internet. One can use the vast resource of knowledge through the internet sitting in a room. It is an internet that makes the world a global village. For having all these internet services, a computer is a must. A computer has become a part and parcel of our daily life. The modern world cannot go a single second without a computer. Knowledge about the internet and computer is a must to get a good job. Therefore, I think that it is important to achieve knowledge on computer and internet along with studying the textbooks.

Modern civilization without computers cannot almost be thought of. Invented theoretically by Charles Babez and developed by a number of scientists, .computer is ‘an electronic device for storing and analyzing information fed into it, for calculating or for controlling machinery automatically. A computer has five major components. namely the input unit, the output unit, the memory unit, the control unit, and the arithmetic unit. Every computer has its own machine language following which it works. Almost every sphere of modern life is more or less, influenced by computers. It has now become an indispensable part of education, scientific research, commerce and agriculture, printing and architecture, etc. It has conquered time and space. In a few minutes, it can perform calculations that trained mathematicians, would need years to complete. Covering a long distance in an unbelievably short time with rockets, electric trains, etc has been made possible by the computer. The contribution òf the computer to human civilization is almost indescribable. So to say, the computer is, as it were, the magic lamp of Aladin. It has lessened our workload, saved our time and energy to a considerable extent, and brought ease and comfort to our life. Yet unmixed blessing is hardly found on earth and so is the case with computers. It causes diseases like Respitutive Stress Injury and weakens the eye-sight of the operators; still, we cannot do without a computer.
