A tea stall is very common both in towns and villages, in our country. It usually sits in a crowded place. It is found in a marketplace, a square, a bus stand, a railway station or steamer ghats, near a fàctory or an office, and even near schools and colleges. In a tea stall, usually, tea is served to the customers in exchange for money. But biscuits, bananas, cigarettes, betel leaves, etc are also sold there, Though some tea stalls are well-furnished. most of them are poorly furnished. It is usually decorated with chairs, tables, and benches. An ordinary tea stall is dirty. A kettle is always kept hot on the stove. People go to a tea stall to take a cup of tea to remove their tiredness. A tea stall is kept open- from early morning till late night. In a tea stall, there are generally two people to manage and run it. One is a grown-up man who prepares tea and takes bills from the customers, and the other is a young boy who serves tea, biscuits, etc to the customers. Sometimes, people come to a tea stall in a group and raise a storm over a cup of tea. They discuss national and international politics, daily affairs, various problems, and whatnot. It is found beside the busy road and street, in the railway station, near an office, steamer or launch ghat, and a bus stand. It is also found in a village market and at a road cross. It is kept open from early morning to midnight. People sit there to take light food along with a cup of tea. There are few chairs and tables in a tea stall. Usually, one or two small boys are employed to serve the customers with tea. The owner handles the cash from a corner of the stall. People come to a tea stall to take tea, to meet with each other, or to gossip. Actually, a tea stall is a typical and traditional place for meeting and getting together. Especially to the young people, a tea stall is a place of great attraction. They spend at a tea stall or a coffee shop with their friends. Often they talk about present politics. Sometimes people raise a storm on a cup of tea. A big kettle is always kept on the hearth or on a stove just to have boiling water.
